Why you and/or your asset managers #1 job should be focusing on avoiding drawdowns. Down 50%? You need to make 100% to get back to flat. Down 80%? That is now 400% profit to get back to B/E. Both are very realistic prospects when investing through cycles in a nascent asset class such as #crypto

Digital assets can be traded for 365 days, and inclusive weekend sessions are relatively very quiet. Therefore, the annualized Sharpe 2+ is not that unachievable compared with traditional main street markets. However, most investors seem indifferent to this fact and choose to ignore it. Honestly, a Sharpe of 5+ is what investors should look for in a crypto investment, considering other non-traditional risks involved. Just some thoughts there before the weekend.

Brush Creek Digital currently maintains a significant underweight position in cryptocurrencies relative to the fund’s neutral net exposure target of 50%. This positioning primarily reflects 1) the deteriorating global liquidity environment, 2) multiple large supply unlocks that will occur in the next two months and 3) the expectation that potential launches of crypto-related ETFs won’t substantially counteract looming market headwinds. My full thoughts are provided in the attached document.

Proprietary trading firms - the ultimate challenge for traders.Maybe you've heard of them, maybe you haven't.Proprietary firms are like hedge funds, but instead of investing the firm's money, they give their traders capital to trade with. But it's not that easy, you see.The capital comes with conditions. You have to earn it by generating profits. And here's the thing - the best prop firms have a rigorous challenge process where you have to prove your strategies work before they give you money to trade with. For traders, prop firms offer the thrill of trading without risking their own capital. For prop firms, hiring the best traders means making more money. It's a win-win.So if you're a trader looking for the ultimate challenge, consider a proprietary trading firm. And if you're a prop firm looking for the best traders, remember, the best will seek you out.
